Yoder Homes has been contracted to remodel a three bedroom two bath condo in the downtown area of Sarasota Florida. Hudson Harbour is located near Palm Ave. and Mound very close to Sarasota Bay.
The Architect is Carl Solander, a graduate from MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and owner of Reverse Architecture from Somerville near Boston, MA. He also happens to be the son-in-law of the owner of the condo.
Carl's concept is to convert the condo into a modern living space utilizing natural materials. The ceiling was ripped out and replaced to form a wave-like flow with forty-seven 12" LED lights. Where the ceiling and floor meet the wall, there is a negative reveal giving a floating feel to the intersections.
The cabinets will be Bamboo with the kitchen countertops being Icestone (a recycled glass material). Bedroom closet doors will be made from a 3form material. The guest bath has a tank free water closet and sculpted sink.
We really think this would be a very interesting job to follow. In my 30 plus years of experience, it is truly the most unique job we have taken on.
